How does anyone start these things nowadays?
I'll admit "I'm starting a blog!" is as done to death as anything else one can declare for themselves these days, but to hell with it.

Hey there, thank you for checking out my blog.
I'm Alex, I'm from Brooklyn, and I live in Manhattan these days.
I'm a comedian, writer, voiceover artist, and playwright. Once upon a time I was an actor, and a time before that I was really certain I wanted to be a science-fiction writer. But that was middle school, and aside from Middle School 51's top-notch choir, I don't care to remember most of that awkward time of life.
Now it appears I'm a blogger as well.
I'll admit "I'm starting a blog!" is as done to death as anything else one can declare for themselves these days, but to heck with it. Since becoming a writer for my bread and butter in April last year, I feel more at home when siting to write for my own enjoyment. I'm in the middle of writing a play about comedy club managers and I'm occasionally writing theater reviews , perhaps the time has come to start my own effort and see if my thoughts, memories, and experiences can resonate with anyone else out there.
So I hope you'll join me on this journey and help me hold myself to at least a few entries a month. I'm also an amateur photographer so you may see shots from my Fujifilm X-T4. I'm a little bit of a purist... I only shoot with prime lenses.

So whatever brought you to this blog, thank you for reading.
I hope you'll hang around and keep reading as I dive into early middle aged life here in the Big Apple as a standup and writer.
